8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2024 Audi S5?
The NHTSA database lists 7 related recalls covering suspension, rear axle, wiring harness, and seat belt components that may affect S5 and related A5/S5 family vehicles. Affected systems include front shock absorber forks and rear axle trailing-arm lock nuts (which can break), rear light wiring harness abrasion protection, and certain seat belt pretensioner components. Corrective actions range from replacing shock absorber forks and lock nuts to adding scuff protection and replacing retractors, all performed free of charge by Audi dealers.
How do I check if my 2024 Audi S5 has an open recall?
You can check your VIN on NHTSA.gov or let our service team verify it for free when you schedule service. Audi North Atlanta can look up your VIN, confirm open recalls from NHTSA records, and explain required repairs and timelines.
How much does a 2024 Audi S5 recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are performed at no cost to the owner—Audi covers parts and labor under the recall program. At Audi North Atlanta we use OEM parts and factory-trained technicians to complete recalls free of charge; additional non-recall work will be quoted up front.
Can I get my 2024 Audi S5 recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by an authorized franchise dealer to ensure OEM parts, factory procedures, and documentation—so bring your vehicle to a certified Audi dealer like Audi North Atlanta. Our factory-trained technicians use Audi diagnostic tools and warranty systems to ensure the recall is closed properly with the manufacturer.
How long does a 2024 Audi S5 recall repair take?
Many recall repairs take from one hour to a full day depending on the remedy; items like wiring scuff protection are often quick, while axle or shock absorber work may take longer. When you schedule appointment we’ll provide an estimated turnaround and offer loaner or shuttle options when available.
Does an open recall affect my 2024 Audi S5's trade-in or resale value?
Yes—unresolved recalls can reduce resale or trade-in value because buyers and dealers often check NHTSA status before purchase. Resolving recalls at Audi North Atlanta protects vehicle value and provides documented proof of OEM repairs; learn more about trade options on our trade-in page.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2024 Audi S5 recall?
Some recalls affect safety-critical components and can lead to inspection issues depending on state rules; it’s safest to resolve safety recalls promptly to avoid inspection or registration problems.
