Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2024 Audi RS 6?
The NHTSA records show 3 recalls that may affect the 2024 Audi RS 6, involving the rear suspension axle assembly, the passenger air bag score line, and front-door crash sensors. Specifically, the recalls address a potentially broken lock nut on the rear trailing arm (risking axle misalignment and loss of control), a passenger air bag score line that may not deploy correctly (risk of debris and injury), and a loose electrical connector at a front door crash sensor (risking delayed restraint activation). These recalls are documented by the NHTSA and Audi; all corrective repairs are performed free of charge at a certified dealer like Audi North Atlanta.
How do I check if my 2024 Audi RS 6 has an open recall?
You can check open recalls right away by entering your VIN at NHTSA.gov or by contacting our service team at Audi North Atlanta. Bring your VIN to our service center and we will verify recall status at no charge and advise next steps; if a recall applies we will schedule repair immediately. To proactively book a time, schedule service online and mention you need a recall check; ask about available service specials and our service financing options.
How much does a 2024 Audi RS 6 recall repair cost?
Recall repairs are free of charge when performed under the manufacturer's recall campaign — Audi covers parts and labor for NHTSA-listed recalls. At Audi North Atlanta our factory-trained technicians use OEM parts and Audi diagnostic tools to ensure the recall repair (such as replacing lock nuts, crash sensors, or inspecting the air bag) is completed at no cost to you. If additional unrelated repairs are identified, we will provide clear estimates and offer service financing so you can get work done now and pay later.
Can I get my 2024 Audi RS 6 recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Manufacturer recall repairs must be performed by a certified franchise dealer to guarantee use of OEM parts and adherence to the manufacturer's repair procedure; for safety-critical recalls like these, the dealer is the recommended choice. Audi North Atlanta is a certified Audi franchise dealer with factory-trained technicians, OEM parts, and Audi-specific diagnostic equipment required to complete recall repairs correctly and document the work with the manufacturer. For convenience, you can schedule service with our team and learn about any available service specials or financing options.
How long does a 2024 Audi RS 6 recall repair take?
Repair times vary by recall type, but many recall repairs (inspection and replacement of affected fasteners, sensors, or air bag components) are completed within a few hours to a day at a certified dealer. For the issues noted by the NHTSA — rear suspension lock nuts, passenger air bag score line inspection, and front door crash sensor connector checks — Audi North Atlanta typically performs inspections quickly and will replace components same-day when parts are available. To minimize wait time, please schedule appointment online and request a recall check; we will confirm expected turnaround when you book and advise about loaner options if needed.
Does an open recall affect my 2024 Audi RS 6's trade-in or resale value?
Yes — unresolved recalls can negatively impact trade-in and resale value because many buyers and dealers check NHTSA records and expect safety issues to be addressed before purchase. Resolving recalls at Audi North Atlanta preserves value and buyer confidence by providing documented, OEM recall repairs; our service records show the work was completed by factory-trained technicians using genuine Audi parts. When you are ready to sell or trade, visit our trade-in page at value my trade to get an appraisal and note that completed recall repairs protect your vehicle's market value.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2024 Audi RS 6 recall?
While most state inspections focus on emissions and basic safety equipment, a safety-related open recall (for example, an air bag or crash sensor) can affect registration or insurance in some circumstances and should be addressed promptly. Ignoring a recall can also complicate claims and coverage if an accident is related to a known defect, so it is in your interest to have Audi North Atlanta perform the free recall repair to ensure compliance and safety. Contact our service team to verify if a specific open recall might affect inspections or insurance — and schedule service to have the vehicle inspected and repaired.
