Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2022 Audi S6?
The NHTSA database records 12 recalls that affect the 2022 Audi S6, covering air bag systems, rear suspension/axle fasteners, and fuel-line concerns. Primary issues include potential PODS (passenger occupant detection) mat wear and improperly manufactured air-bag score lines that can prevent proper deployment or eject debris. Other recalls address rear trailing-arm lock nuts that may break from stress corrosion and fuel-line leaks on certain older engines that could create a fire risk. All corrective actions listed by the manufacturer are provided free of charge at an authorized dealer and are sourced from NHTSA recall records.
How do I check if my 2022 Audi S6 has an open recall?
You can confirm open recalls by checking your vehicle VIN at NHTSA.gov or by contacting Audi North Atlanta directly; we can check your VIN for free. Call Audi North Atlanta or bring your VIN to our service drive and our factory-trained technicians will verify open items and explain any required work. If you prefer to schedule service online, we will perform a complimentary VIN recall check during your appointment.
How much does a 2022 Audi S6 recall repair cost?
Recall repairs are free of charge under the manufacturer’s recall program; Audi North Atlanta performs these repairs at no cost to you. We use OEM parts and factory diagnostic procedures so the repair is covered and carried out to manufacturer standards, protecting your warranty and safety. If you need additional non-recall work, ask about our current service specials or service financing so you can get service now and pay later.
Can I get my 2022 Audi S6 recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be performed at an authorized franchise dealer to ensure OEM parts, factory procedures, and warranty compliance — Audi North Atlanta is your local certified Audi dealer for recall service. Independent shops may not have required manufacturer parts, the correct control software, or official repair instructions; using a franchise dealer protects safety, resale value, and insurance coverage. Schedule an appointment with our factory-trained technicians via our schedule service page and we’ll handle the recall at no cost.
How long does a 2022 Audi S6 recall repair take?
Repair time varies by recall item but most manufacturer recall repairs are completed in a few hours to one business day, though some repairs may require parts ordering and take longer. Common air-bag inspections or PODS repair-kit installs typically require a technician inspection and brief replacement work; trailing-arm lock-nut or fuel-line replacements can often be same-day. When you schedule appointment we will estimate turnaround time and keep you updated; ask about loaner options and service financing if additional service is needed.
Does an open recall affect my 2022 Audi S6's trade-in or resale value?
Yes — unresolved recalls can reduce trade-in offers and lower buyer confidence because many dealers and private buyers check NHTSA records before purchase. Having recalls completed at Audi North Atlanta with OEM documentation protects resale value and simplifies transactions; visit our trade-in appraisal page to learn more. To start the process, get recalls resolved and then request a valuation at value-my-trade.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2022 Audi S6 recall?
Open safety recalls themselves usually don’t directly cause a failed emissions inspection, but unresolved safety defects—like air-bag or axle integrity issues—can lead to inspection failures or safety holds. Addressing recalls promptly at Audi North Atlanta ensures your vehicle passes safety checks and avoids potential insurance or registration problems. If you’re unsure, schedule service and our certified technicians will check the vehicle and advise on any inspection-related consequences.
